In the age of technology, Mobility and Functionality, Entertainment is still out of phase but continue to still rocks on top of man’s favorite pastime. Now in our age, technology, mobility, functionality, and entertainment has been packed into one gadget the – portable media player.

If you are a music lover or videographer, surely having a portable media jukebox player or portable media video player and portable media recorders respectively, is must- have one. Or it can be a best gift for the one who loves music and videos and films.

However, some of these have been attached into a modern cellular phone or a pocket PC called PDA to suit the all-in-one package, but some don’t like it, especially those who are really music maniac and video and film addicts they want a separate gadget for it and an ample memory bank to indulge with. The modern cellular phones even add some games to make it all-in-one portable multimedia gadget. That is cool for many; however, I don’t know why they don’t like an all-in-one portable multimedia gadget.

Some famous and most bought portable media players are the Archos PMP, the iPod touch, iPhone, Smartphone, and Zune HD. Among these three, the most loved nowadays is the Archos series where one could record and personalize videos and music or have portable media recorder functionality, as well as the iPod touch, but the most heart-breaking portable media player is the Zune HD because it is just a mere player without any exceptional function ability. However, in form it is the classier among the portable media player. But in terms of functionality it is in state of poverty that anyone who has a creative capability will be very bored using it.

Archos and iPod touch have now variety of models to choose from, from Archos 5 to Archos 704; iPod touch first, second, and third generation. You can view each products reviews in the internet to make sure what will spend for a dollar is a worth spending.

Anyway, why have one on your palm? Having a portable media player with portable media  recorder, portable media jukebox functionality, with online accessibility, integrated games, is like have a full entertainment anytime anywhere you may be which is really a cool kind of mobility. Entertainment and Mobility are the two reasons why consumers buy a portable multimedia player, for who would like anyone carry a radio or tv set while on travel if you would like entertainment anywhere.

However, for some it is not only a mere Entertainment and Mobility they are looking after for a portable media player, rather Functionality and Personalization capabilities play also a major plus for high-demanding buyer or customers. For how can anyone enjoy his or her portable media player if one can’t record any music or videos that one want, nor could capture images of a once in a lifetime situation or event? Moreover, if one wanted to download or upload pictures, videos, and music from it into PC and from PC into their portable media player, how can they do it, if their portable media player does not have this functionality?

This kind of mobile gadget is best not only for entertainment seekers but also to those who are depressed. Yes, it can be a tool to minimize their blues away by entertaining themselves with this really entertaining gadget in the market.

Music on the go is now in through portable media player gadgets available now in the market which has a lot or some have modern functionality and application.

Who can’t resist music and sounds, especially if they are soothing and good to the ears, is not it? You will really love to have them on your pocket or want to hear them over and over again as long you would like to hear them instead of waiting or requesting it to be played again on radio stations. Yap there is CDs about your favorite music which you could play all over again in your CD or VCD player to hear the music you love all over and over again, however you cannot put the CD player on your pocket so that you could listen to the music you love wherever you may go or may be, is not it?

But that is not a problem anymore nowadays because of the existence of portable media player gadget either included in a modern cellular phone or set apart into one gadget where you could take it wherever you may go and could put it yes into your pockets, that is why it is called portable is not it?

A portable media player nowadays varies from designs and specifications which depend on what portable media player company manufactured or made it. There are many models proliferating the market today ranging from a portable media player that is only for recording purposes only like a single portable music and video recorder only or have portable media recorder functionality only without downloading functions and other modern specifications. But there are other models that are complete on old and modern functionality which are calledportable multimedia player. However, I am not recommending anything about which you will buy rather it is your choice which one you will like or which you prefer to buy. But as for me, I would like to buy the portable multimedia player that is complete on functionality and applications because it could save my money from buying separate portable media player applications.

Moreover, of course, I will buy the most trusted and credible brand or model so that my money will not be wasted but worth of it. So say for example, if all the multimedia functions and applications is already on a modern high tech cellular phone, I will buy that one instead because it is already complete and I would not waste my money in buying another gadget. For if you compute the price of buying another gadget aside from cellular phone or other portable media application, the price or cost of  buying the all-in one multi gadget is quite also the same if you total the price of buying two or more separate gadgets or portable media players. But the problem is nowadays to some models is even though it is said it is all-in one, the other applications which are present on other brands is not present or included on the all-in one brand, thus making it difficult for the consumers or buyers to buy the good one. This is so because each portable media player companies have its own unique functionality which is only present on their products and not to others; and this is their edge to other portable media players to compete in the market.
